My Trip To Sri Lanka

Hi everyone! Anyone miss me? Sorry I haven't posted anything for a long time. Been a bit busy. Actually I just came back from Sri Lanka and Maldives, although we just stopped briefly at Male. Went there with my whole family. Aside from Colombo, we went to Bentota Beach, where the tsunami hit Sri Lanka.

We stayed at the Hilton Colombo Residence. Managed to visit several Noritake outlets. We also went to Odel, an upmarket shopping complex in Colombo. We had the services of the Hilton's Pajero and the drivers were very friendly. Hope to download some nice pictures of Colombo soon :-D

Paris, London, Scotland; Kakbie's on Tour!

Hi everyone! As some of you may know, I've been on an autumn/winter tour of Europe for nearly 16 days. The whole family flew to Heathrow on MAS and we went on a road trip from London to Bicester Village, Stoke, Manchester, The Lake District, Edinburgh, then back to London.

We were in London for a couple of days where we visited the Big Ben, The Tower Of London and Buckingham Palace. We then took the Euro Star hi-speed train to Paris. It was very exciting.

I'll tell all about the great time we had at Paris DisneyLand in my next post. Bonjour!

time to chill

Finally, the weekend's here. It'll be a long month break for me. Maybe I'll drop by to check up on the Coz' Twins in KL. In the meantime, I managed to catch Hellboy: The Golden Army. It was Ok. I liked Liz, a.k.a Firegirl. Boy, I wish I have her abilities. And Abe Sapien singing Barry Manilow's "Can't smile without you" is simply great!

Flowers In Bloom.

Went to my garden today to see the flowers there. Apparently there are many types of flowers in bloom. For example, there were Roses, Gardenias, some Bougainvillas, Hibiscus, Brier roses and Apple blossoms.

I found these flowers in my garden. These flowers are called Bunga Jarum.

My First Mariposa Cake.

Today, I made my first butterfly fairy cake. It took two hours to make, with some help from Mom and my brother. Actually, the cake is in the form of the skirt while the top portion is of course, Mariposa herself. You can't see her legs but they are there inside the butter cake.

I designed the skirt using orange-flavored icing. For color, I used blue, green, purple, and pink food coloring. I hope the cake tastes as good as I hope it looks.

Hola!

Hola! This is my first post here. More to follow, I hope.
